About GM Rashad Babaev GM Rashad Babaev is a coach of champions with over 25 years of experience in elite-level chess instruction. He has helped many U.S. players achieve top titles, including International Grandmaster, International Master, and National Master.
Recognized globally, GM Babaev has coached and mentored several rising stars and elite players, including:
- IM Ryo Chen (Texas) – International Master at age 15 with two GM norms, achieved in just four years under Babaev’s guidance
- GM Brandon Jacobson
- GM Jason Liang
- GM Andy Woodward
- IM Harshid Kunka
- and many other talented chess players who have excelled nationally and internationally.
In addition to coaching, GM Babaev is the author of three instructional DVDs and has created numerous chess videos, including contributions to Chess.com, one of the world’s leading platforms for online chess education.
Camp Dates & Details:
Beginner Camp (U-1000)
- Dates: July 14–18 (Monday to Friday)
- Ages: 5–12
- Rating Level: New to chess or rated below 1000 USCF
- Student Cap: 16 students max

Overview:
This camp is designed for young chess learners who are beginning their chess journey. Students will build a solid foundation in chess fundamentals through engaging lessons, puzzles, fun gameplay, and beginner tactics. The environment fosters creativity, confidence, and a love for the game.Elite Advanced Camp (1800–2250 USCF)
- Dates: July 21–25 (Monday to Friday)
- Ages: 9–18
- Rating Requirement: 1800–2250 USCF
- Student Cap: 12 students max
- Cost:

- Strategic concepts and advanced planning
- Deep tactical ideas and calculation training
